A torch is a small electrical device that is operated/run by batteries. It is in a portable size which easily carries anywhere. The main the working function of the torch is that it makes the darken room bright, at night it makes a bright to your place/certain area.

The source of torchlight is a light-emitting diode (LED) or incandescent light bulb (lamp). when a power source is attached to it. It starts blinking/emitting the light.

Components required: -
  1. Mini plastic box
  2. Led = 1w-2pis
  3. Battery 3v-5v
  4. Hot glue
  5. Charging connector
  6. Sharp iron needle (For Hole making)
  7. Red led bulb (mini)
  8. Diode = 1N41448
  9. Resistance =12ohms
  10. Wires (as per Required)
  11. Soldering iron
  12. ON/OFF switch
  13. Sharpe blade
  14. Adaptor for charging


How to make it / Do it yourself (DIY)

  • Take a mini plastic box, which sizes approx. 6cm
  • Then cut its inside part with a blade, so the battery is fitted inside easily
  • Take its one side cape and make four holes, where 2led bulb which is easily inserted in the hole
  • Take one old mobile battery or any battery having (3v-5v)
  • Then insert the battery inside a plastic box and fixed the battery with hot glue, also fixed the led bulb from the inner side.
  • Take one charging connector socket of 3v-5v and attach it with another side of plastic box cap
  • Also, take one mini red led bulb for indicating as charging


Start circuit connection
  •  Take one green wire which is attached to (-) the negative terminal of the battery
  •  From (-) negative green wire attached both the one-one leg of the LED
  •  Then from (-) negative wire attach 1 leg of charging connector and 1 leg of the led indicator bulb
  •  Take one red wire which is attached is attached to (+) positive terminal of the battery
  •  From (+) positive red wire attached both the 2nd leg of led
  •  Then from (+), positive wire attach one ON/OFF a switch which is attached to led red wire terminal and another end of the switch is attached to the battery
  •  One side of diode IN4148 is attached to charging connector and another side is attached to red wire battery
  •  Take one resistance of 12ohms which one leg is attached to indicator mini red bulb leg and another leg of resistance is attached to charging and diode leg
  •  Thus, the circuit connection is complete. Now this project is ready to work.

A fan is a machine that is used to create air in a particular area where we keep it. it’s general functions when an arrangement of vanes or blades start rotating, then impeller turns and accelerates the air frontwards direction. Thus, it creates air and provides us with cool air and keep the room temperature down.

DC (Direct current) fans are powered with the potential of a fixed value. Such as battery source which is shocked free. Also, you can use the adaptor source which converts the ac source into dc source. This type of fan is generally running from 5v,12v, and 24v, etc.

Components Required: -

1.            PVC pipe (½ inch) 15cm=8pis,8cm=4pis,5cm=4pis and one long size 2-3feet for stand.
2.            PVC L-bow (½ inch) = 4pis
3.            PVC T (½ inch) = 4pis
4.            DC 12v female connector
5.            Wires (according to required)
6.            PVC L-Bow (1 ½ inch) =2pis
7.            12v DC motor =2pis motor details
8.            ON/OFF switch = 2pis
9.            Fan/Blade = 2pis
10.         Input Power source---12v-2amp DC adaptor,12v battery source.
11.         Hot Glue

*This is a dual stand fan. You can run continuously both the fan at a time or you can run one fan at the time.

How to make it / Do it yourself (DIY)

1.            Take a PVC pipe of ½ inch with a length of 2-3feet long size for stand support and 15cm=8pis,8cm=4pis,5cm=4pis small size
2.            Take PVC L-bow (½ inch) for attaching all PVC small size pipe
3.            Take PVC T of (½ inch) for attaching PVC pipe
4.            Then make a hole in a PVC pipe according to all electrical components to be attached
5.            Attach all the PVC pipe according to the PICTURE-----

6.            First attach all the necessary electrical components such as connector, wire, and switch.
7.            Then take along size PVC pipe and insert the wires and attach it in T PVC connector
8.            Again, at the top end of long PVC pipe attach 5cm of length pipe, T shape band, and ½ L-Bow. According to picture----

9.            Then attach both the 12v DC motor with wires and fixed it into ½ inch L-Bow
10.         Lastly attach both the fan/blade to 12v DC motor
11.         Then give the input power source as a 12v-2amp/12v battery to run the fan
12.         It is a high-speed fan which gives you cool air and makes you a fresh feel

Working process: -
An evaporative system of air cooler cools the air by means of the water. When water is sprayed over all the cooler grasses then evaporated takes required latent heat from the surrounding atmospheric air. Then cooled air is blown inside the room by the fan and makes the whole room cool.

Parts required: -

  1. Empty plastic jar = 20liter (as per need)
  2. 12v DC motor (big size)
  3. Fan blade
  4. Clip = 3-5pies
  5. G.I wires
  6. Mini DC water pump
  7. Level pipe = 1meter approx.
  8. Cooler grass
  9. ON/OFF switch
  10. 12 DC connector
  11. Wastage pipe
  12. Water
Note: - All electrical components should be attached to wires.
How to make it / Do it yourself (DIY)

  1. First, take one large size of an empty jar of 20lit. (You can use as per your required)
  2. Then cut all the size of the jar using a sharp blade or Hexa blade/any hot cutter.
  3. In the front-facing side cut in round circle shape and other 3 sides in a rectangular shape.
  4. Then take one high power 12v DC motor, operating voltage 12v DC, operating current 3-3.5amp, high speed 1500 rpm.
  5. Take one medium size steel blade/fan
  6. Take 3-5 clips for fixing the motor, so the motor can’t vibrate or move.
  7. Then take G.I wires and cut them into pieces.
  8. Take one DC mini a submersible pump, operating voltage 3-6v, operating current 130-220ma
  9. Then take the level pipe. Which is easily fitted in the mini submersible outlet hose.
  10. Use cooler dry grass for getting cold air.

Installation process: -

  1. Take a dc motor and attach all the clips to the dc motor.
  2. Then fix the dc motor inside the plastic jar and properly tight it using a screwdriver. so, it can’t move while running the motor and it maintains a proper balance in running position.
  3. Then take cooler grass and fit it in all rectangular- 3 sides of the cutting jar and properly tight all sides of cooler grass using GI wires.
  4. Then put the dc mini submersible pump inside the jar and attach the level pipe to the pump.
  5. Then make 3-5hole in a level pipe where a level pipe is passing through cooler grass. so, cooler the grass will get wet.
  6. Take an ON/OFF switch and fix it in a plastic jar on the front-facing side.
  7. Then take one 12v dc female connector and attach it in the upper facing side of the jar.
  8. Then attach a fan /blade with a motor shaft and tighten it with a screwdriver.
  9. All wires should be connected to each other for proper working without shorting.
  10. Take a GI wire and make it is a rectangular shape.so no one can touch the fan in running time.
  11. The installation process is completed. It’s time to fill the inside the jar.
  12. Fill the water from the upper facing side.
  • fill the water till the water pump is not covered.
  •   Lastly, apply 12 dc currents for running a homemade cooler.

Working principle of DC motor

When the current conductor is positioned in a magnetic field, it encounters a flashlight and tends to move. In other words, when a magnetic field and an electric field interact, mechanical energy is generated. A DC motor or an indirect current motor applies to that system. This is known as the act of moving.

Note: - All this motor is Operated/Run by DC power source (Battery/DC adaptor)

Types of the motor to be used in projects are:

1(1). 12v DC motor for DC/solar fan/cooler etc

Working principle of water pump: -

The water pump mainly depends upon the positive displacement as well as kinetic energy force to push the water. These types of pumps generally running by A.C. power otherwise D.C. power supply.
     It is a portable device which quickly moves anywhere, and it also can be used for several household applications. These types of pump add energy to the incoming fluid and increase the pressure energy. Thus, it gives the high pressure of water by increasing the strength of incoming water.

Parts required: -

  1. Empty plastic box (small size)
  2. Copper plate
  3. Bi-cycle spoke = 1pies
  4. Syringe rubber = 2pies
  5. Fevi-quick
  6. Round plastic
  7. Syringe = 2pies
  8. Wood = for stand/base support
  9. DC 12v motor
  10. Jointer/connector = 1pies
  11. Blade, hot glue, soldering iron, clip, wires
  12. Switch = 1pies
  13. 12v = connector
  14. 12v = 2amp power adapter
How to make it / Do it yourself (DIY)

 1st part of Installation: -

  1. Take an empty plastic box of small size.
  2. Then cut the plastic box from the bottom side and also reduced the outer part of its cap and make it in round shape.
  3. Then make a mark or a line using a marker from the centre point. (minimum = 6 lines) from the centre.
  4. Use six pies of copper plate in rectangular shape length of 4-5cm.
  5. Then make it in semi-circle shape by using your hand.
  6. After that fix all the copper plate on the plastic cap of the line side. By using Araldite or glue.
  7. Then take Bicycle spoke as shaft rod.
  8. The hole at the centre of plastic copper plate using any sharp needle and insert the Bicycle spoke and fixed it by paste.
  9. Then take syringe rubber and insert it in a bicycle spoke of the plastic cape. (opposite side facing)
  10. Then take cutting outer part of the plastic box and enter the impeller in the centre of the plastic box.
  11. After that, check it's moving freely or not. (it should be running freely)
  12. Again, take one syringe rubber and insert in the Bicycle spoke of the bottom facing of the plastic box and fix the rubber using fevi-quick.

2nd part of the installation: -

  1. Take a round plastic which is easily cover the cutting plastic box.
  2. Then make a hole using soldering iron where a syringe quickly inserted inside it. which used for an incoming water source. (Inlet water)
  3. Again, take cutting plastic box and make a hole using a soldering iron.
  4. Then insert one syringe which used for water output source.
  5. Then paste both the syringe using glue or Araldite. So, no water leakage should be there.
  6. After that, attach both the part (part 1 and part 2) and fix properly using Araldite or glue. So, there will be no chance of any leakage of water and working correctly.

3rd part of the installation: -

  1. Take one rectangular shape of the wooden board for its base support (working as a stand)
  2. Then take a D.C. motor of 12v and fix it in the wooden board by using a clamp.
  3. Then attach both the turbine part and the motor part.
  4. Now, the motor part installation is ready.

4th part electrical installation: -

  1. Take an ON/OFF switch
  2. Take 12v female connector
  3. Then complete a circuit by connecting all the three parts (motor, switch and connector)

5th output of water pump: -

  1. Take a long pipe and attach the inlet suction with a hose.
  2. Then take a bucket of water and insert the inlet suction pipe.
  3. Lastly, give the power source of 12v battery or 12v adaptor and see how's the water pump is working
  4. Now, its successfully installed and working fine
