How to make Extension Board/Cords at home

Extension board / Cords

Extension board/cords are known as many different-different names such as -power board, extension cords, socket board, plugboard, multi-socket board, multi-box etc. and much more many other names. It generally used for connecting more than two appliances at the same time. Such as for audio, video, computer, power tools, and lighting.

In the market so many types of extension boards are available in the market, colourful board, fancy board and much more is easy to use and easy to carry because it is in portable in size.

                               DIY Project  Extenstion Board/Cords

Parts required:-

  1. Empty plastic box
  2. Socket 6amp = 3pies
  3. Switch 6amp = 1pies
  4. Plug 6amp = 1pies
  5. Wires
  6. Wire cutter
  7. Tester
  8. Cutting blade
  9. Bulb = 1pies (for testing)

How to make it / Do it yourself (DIY)

  1. Take an empty plastic box. I am using 1lit of engine oil box. You can use any plate which is suitable for you.
  2. Then take 3pies female socket of 6amp.which is used as power supply output.
  3. Take 1pies switch of 6amp which used for power ON/OFF to socket output.
  4. Use good quality of wires for its circuit connection.
  5. Also, use a wire cutter for wire cutting.
  6. After that take one sharp cutting blade. Through we can cut the empty plastic box according to switch and socket size which made easily fitted in it.
  7. Make a connection according to this picture: -      

  8. After connecting all the wires, according to circuit is ready to use.
  9. Lastly, check the extension board/cord by using AC tester and by using a lighting bulb. Whether it’s working fine or not.
  10. Now, you can use it according to your necessary.
